This place was amazing! The staff was so friendly and recognized me every time I came to eat. I felt safe walking alone even at night. We had an amazing stay at Bakubung Bush Lodge. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. The lodge itself was very clean, well maintained and had such a great atmosphere throughout. The safari experience was absolutely unforgettable — seeing the animals up close in such beautiful surroundings was a real highlight. The whole place has an amazing vibe, perfect for families or anyone wanting a relaxing bush getaway. We would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Sun City/Pilanesberg area.

Beautiful place to stay and excellent staff. Lovely food. The rooms are superb. Great to see the management team encouraging and training keen new talent too. We enjoyed the included daily (early morning/sunrise or late afternoon/sunset) game drives too. It was our second trip and we’d definitely stay again.

The hotel was lovely. Friendly staff and great amenities. I would particularly like to mention Victoria & Itumeleng at the front desk. We had an issue with our return transportation to Johannesburg. We absolutely loved our stay at Bakubung Bush Lodge. The food was amazing, the staff were incredible, and the game drives were a real highlight of the trip. Every single member of staff was so friendly, welcoming and helpful — it genuinely felt like being part of one big family rather than staying at a hotel. The rooms were lovely, comfortable and perfect after long days out on safari. The spa was also excellent and a great way to relax between drives. We actually loved Bakubung so much that we cancelled the second part of our holiday at another hotel just so we could book an extra night here and come back! That probably says more than anything else could. An unforgettable experience from start to finish — we would return in a heartbeat.

The spa facilities were simple but the treatments were top class really relaxing and well priced. Beds were really comfortable the shower was large with a view of the pilansburg park. Rooms were luxurious and spacious. In room facilities were great with daily refresh of water, coffees, teas and biscuits etc... The included game drives were always entertaining and enjoyable Highly recommend my stay, it was a great getaway from city life. If 1 recommendation I can make would be to include more high protein vegetarian meals for the included dinner.

The room was okay, the breakfast was okay too. The food in the evening was very bad, mostly the meat was cold and dry, chicken, fish, ribs, lam, all of them far beyond the criteria for this category and price. The barbecue which was organized in the bush was really poor too, food wise.
