We have stayed here twice due to the convenience for the ferry. Can't really complain, it's a typical fairly dated motel. Everything works and it's fine for an overnight at a reasonable price.

Old but tidy room. Bathroom was a let down - no towels and no shower curtain. Luckily we had towels with us after being on the road for 2 weeks around the South Island, but having no shower curtain in there meant, when we showered the bathroom flooded.

We spent two nights at the Marlin Motel after completing the Queen Charlotte track. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was lovely. The owner was very kind and helpful. We felt refreshed and ready to travel on .

The unit is spacious and nicely decorated. The interior doesnt smell as fresh as it could. Its dark inside. The fridge is so small and low we need to be on our knees to access it. There are no towel rails. No power point in the bathroom for toothbrush or blow dryer. Single glazed only so noisy.
