We've been holidaying in Phuket for many years now and the common problem for the hotels is that the hotel rooms are extremely small no matter the level of the hotel. Considering this time we planned our stay in Patong for almost two weeks, I was dedicated to research bigger accommodations and this was when Andakira Hotel caught my attention. There was an option to book a Double Deluxe roon which was almost 50 square meters and looked more like a studio apartment than a hotel room. There was plenty of shelving space with a dedicated spot for the suitcase, huge bathroom with "his" and "hers" vanities, shower where you can easily stand 6 persons, a bathtub, make up area, massive TV and even two (!!!) balconies. The room was spotless clean with king-size bed with crispy white linen. If you are not a fan of hard mattresses, then you won't be happy with it, but I loved it (hard mattress, by the way, is very common for Thailand). The mattress was of a good quality, and did not shake if my husband turned on the other end. I suspect, other rooms were more or less standard, but ours was huge. Bathrobes, slippers, shampoo and tea and coffee amenities were included. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The hotel had two swimming pools, one on the ground level (plenty of room to sunbathe) and one on level three with massive undercover area (if you are trying to avoid the sun). I could continue, but I'm running out of symbols. Five stars from me 😁
