The property smelled from the moment you entered the lobby. The smell carried throughout and into the rooms. The smell made you sick it was so pungent.

I was just disappointed for the price of the room. Everything was very minimal and appeared poorly decorated. I’ve been to the Clarendon before and enjoyed my stay. It seems to have declined heavily in the last few years.

Staff was amazing, room had a few issues with.

Start of the day with greeting of staff which was immediately with a welcoming smile. After checking I had few issues with my key card but no biggie I was helped out with that problem immediately. I do recommend double check of not only room condition (which mine was great), but as well to assure all appliances, outlets, ac, ect… are functional before renting it out to the next guest.

There had been a very strong monsoon storms that moved through the area before I arrived at the hotel. When I was checking in I was informed that the elevator did not work due to water damage and would not be fixed during my stay. The nice man at the front desk told me someone would be available to manage luggage up to my room on the second floor. I was given a room but found a big puddle of water under the split unit(air conditioning) and when the unit turned on water was spaying out of it. I informed the front desk and they said they would arrange for new room with a free upgrade. When I returned later that evening with my friend we found out we were on third floor and were assisted with our luggage. The room were clean and appeared newly updated. The hotel is not elder friendly as the beds were only 1 1/2 feet off the floor as well as sitting area couches. When we checked out we were rudely informed there was no one to help us with the luggage and desk person said I can’t do it. I asked for manager but none were present. Overall not a very good expense and I would not chose to book here again.

First off the elevator did not work, the floor lamp did not have a way to turn off so I had to unscrew the light bulb , the blinds did not turn to open , continental breakfast was just cereal and milk coffee and muffins. The bed was very comfortable and parking is away from where you can’t see your vehicle. I would not stay there again.
