Pleasantly surprised

I was pleasantly surprised with this gem of a hotel. The room was clean and very spacious and included a kitchenette. I will definitely consider this hotel when I need a hotel stay.

The good first…The room was a nice size and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. But…The slight stairs on the way in to check in are not lit, I tripped going in, didn’t even know they were there! I never fall, my toes and back hurt, my shoe went flying. I told the front desk I tripped and asked if that happens often, she said her uber food driver fell there a night or two previous and she felt horrible for them. I worried if an older person fell there they could’ve got hurt a lot worse than I did. I hope they add a light right above the stairs or right on those slight steps. I just didn’t expect them there and in the dark they’re not noticeable. Our room was ok, it did smell funky, kind of musky. In the morning when we were packing up to shower and leave, I found the bathroom vent had black mold all over it! At check out, I let the front desk know about the vent with mold. She said “ok I’ll let them know” and that was it, kept working not very much reaction. I’m not a complainer, I debated on even leaving this review but I do think these are 2 big enough issues to need to say something and I hope that do something about them.

Room subpar, breakfast horrible and people dogs in breakfast area, roomdoor stuck, microwave dirty, rug in room ripped, burn on bathroomwall, towels not readily avl front desk claimed have to order in advance, why dont know, no maid service so we had old dirty towels in room with us. Experence at this place was not good and will not be back

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Very nice property and Team. Breakfast was basically unavailable our day of checkout! Unacceptable!! Excuses of, "we were really busy this weekend" and "our delivery was short on the truck", were just as unacceptable!!! The Management Team has been great!!

An outlet was broken in the bathroom so using the hair dryer was tricky. I requested it be fixed but it wasn’t. I took two cold showers because the faucets weren’t working properly. Same with the bathroom faucet. I stepped on a carpet stable with bare feet walking into the bathroom. And honestly lastly I think the use of caution tape hung across the front entrance is off putting and tacky. Even for Halloween purposes. I wouldn’t recommend nor return.

Terrible Front Desk Service at TEMPE, AZ

I arrived to check in at the hotel and Allison, the desk clerk was very unprofessional and had a nansty attitude. I REFUSED to even continue to check in or spend any money at this hotel. This was a bad experience and not a good look for Sonesta Suites name. I have had great experiences with this name in other states, but as a Black educated and professional Healthcare worker, TEMPE ARIZONA, has been the worst ever and iI will NEVER EVER, attempt to stay at this location in me entire existence. I suggest she be in Good Customer Service 001
