It has a very retro-hip personality, friendly and cheerful staff, and great location for downtown. The only downside was that we had to pay $45 for valet parking.

We stayed at the Moxy in downtown Phoenix for three days during the rodeo festival, and it honestly made the whole trip even better. The vibe of the hotel was fun and relaxed, and everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly. Housekeeping was amazing and always on top of things. The bar was another highlight. Even when it got crowded, the staff still made us feel taken care of. It really felt like a hidden gem, and we were so glad we chose it for our stay. We would definitely come back. Five stars for sure.

Staff were amazing, room was clean, but the street noise was SO LOUD. I'm not a good sleeper, so we booked this hotel because they advertise their rooms as having soundproofing and blackout fixtures in the windows. While it may be true that there's soundproofing between the rooms, there is no soundproofing with the street. The street car lines have stops right outside the hotel, and we were kept awake by the regular arrival and departure of the train every 20 minutes.

The floors in the hallway outside my room was dirty the entire 5 days I was at the hotel. I know this because the same pile of goldfish crumbs was there. My room for fairly clean except for the corners. That’s where you could find lots of hair and dust. The bed was uncomfortable. But honestly, the worse part was there was NO small fridge in the room. I guess I am so used to staying in hotels with small refrigerators, that I assumed it was the norm. Sadly, because of no refrigeration, I had to throw all my wonderfully yummy leftovers away.
