I, like many others, was fooled by the 7.0 rating for this place. I have no idea who they are paying for these reviews.
1) The room was actually okay. It has a living area as well as two beds in a separate room. The shower never got hot, though. The good news stops there.
2) The deadbolt on the room didn’t work. That might be okay if the security latch wasn’t also coming out of the wall. If someone wanted to get in, they could’ve used a few shoulders and come in. I asked them two days in a row to fix it with no success.
3) This security situation mentioned above is even more urgent considering the people in and around the location. The neighborhood itself is not ideal and there are few food options around. It’s certainly not walkable.
The parking lot is full of trash and strange people.
Then we get to the interior of the motel itself. Kids are scooting around the hallways. Cops were at some room and in the parking lot doing something. The gate was left wide open each night when we got back. There was puke in one of the hallways too. At least it was cleaned up when we came back later.
4) I book at this price point and am certainly not a fancy person. But this is the first time I’ve felt unsafe and really considered leaving the first night.
5) Please be cautious and do extra homework on this place.
