It wasn’t obvious when booking that our room wouldn’t be in the main lodge, but in the Heather Highlands Inn. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The whole building maintains a 90s style so it feels outdated but again we had no complaints about cleanliness and everything was functional. Also if you don’t book directly through Boyne then their perks don’t apply. We weren’t informed of this at check-in so they did provide tickets for the scenic chair lift.

The property had a lot of activities to offer, scenic chair lifts, free row boats and kayaks, bike trails, multiple pools and hot tubs, movies, games,and treats. Breakfast was delicious in the main dining room. Staff was friendly and helpful. The property and rooms were clean. The only problem was the beds, they were awful. We had a king murphy bed and queen sofa bed. Both beds sunk in the middle. The sofa bed was hard as a rock and creaked terribly when ever my teenage daughter moved.
