Clean and comfortable and well appointed. They have done a fabulous job with the remodel. It's in a very walkable area with an excellent coffee shop called The Grove down the street. Petersburg is a fabulous town.

Petersburg is awful. Full stop. Restaurants are non-existsnt. But this hotel is quite nice and their restaurant is “okay “. I would stay here again but I would be very careful with dinner plans in Petersburg.

The pictures of the rooms on the website are only from the newer building - I believe. We stayed in the older building but the rooms are nice except the bathroom is very small and too tight. Especially the shower room is so small there is no room to move. Overall, I like the place and coming back.

Great Stay, Renovated, Clean, Pricey

The Staff is great and always helpful. The hotel itself is gorgeous and has been redone recently to be more modern. In doing so they e really elevated the Petersburg WV experience. Great room sizes with beautiful white linens. The pillows are great, furniture in rooms are nice. We stayed in a room with a walk-in shower pan and a shower curtain, no big deal until I go to shower, somehow the shower curtain blocked a drain or was wicking water out, but it definitely got water in the floor from a regular short shower. Had to clean it up. Not a big deal but the execution here could be better to help keep the hotel up. I was worried about damages if you didn't notice and flood the whole floor. Rooms are 'sound proof's but that doesn't include the doors- was not a problem but when we were leaving in the morning our door slammed by accident and it can be loud. The negatives are short: Price- the rooms aren't crazy expensive, but you're pricing level with Hilton, Marriott, Etc and it is definitely the best place I've seen/stayed in Petersburg, but there was no fitness facility, pool, they offer a Continental breakfast, but maybe on weekends offer a hot breakfast from the cafe in town.
