Lovely old style hotel. We were fortunate to receive an upgrade to a bigger/better room on our arrival, which made our experience even better. Staff were really friendly and hard working. Only a couple of minor flaws stopped me rating the hotel 5 stars :-
WiFi - was good in the reception/lounge area , but was poor/non-existent in the bedrooms (or at least in the room we were in.
Breakfast - cereal, tea /coffee , fruit etc were good , but I was a little disappointed in the buffet style cooked items - black pudding was dry , haggis was a bit pale and fatty, sausages weren't great, and potato scones were bland. ( I'm usually quite the fan of a cooked breakfast) . Bacon, mushrooms, beans, eggs (scrambled/fried) were nice however
