Beautiful location just off the M6, a warm and friendly welcome on arrival. I was very luck and had an upgrade. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Food was excellent That evening and good choice for breakfast. Both meals were served hot and quickly.

Pooley Bridge is a very small village nestled at the top of Ulswater. It has 3 public house & a couple of small shops. The crown Inn is perfectly placed by the river & in the thick of the village. The only downside is parking a busy sunny days! Staff at the Inn were very pleasant & helpful
