Staff friendly. Room tired and bed saggy and uncomfortable. Music from bar VERY loud and audible in room - went on until midnight. No chance of sleeping. Wanted to check out at 8.45am, breakfast was supposed to be served at 9, NO ONE available. Bar area locked, knocked on all doors marked private, no one around, couldn't check out. Poor servive.

Room was clean, bathroom on the small side, but doable. Pub downstairs, provides good food and drinks and was quiet after 10 PM.

Noisy pub. The landlord did his best on a busy night but it is still a room above a pub with loud music downstairs. Good food. Handy to train and supermarket. The bed very uncomfortable unfortunately. Nobody around at checkout to mention this to. No parking. Had to park in the supermarket and couldn’t drag our bags over and up the stairs as we are not young people.

The Agricultural Inn was authentic, super friendly and comfortable. The pub and food were excellent. Our room and en suite bath were large with a comfortable bed and nice amenities. We are so happy that we chose this stay! Penrith was great too. Highest marks to the staff and owners at the Agricultural Inn! We hope to return and stay again.

A town centre pub with limited parking. No breakfast available until the chef arrives at 9 so had to drive to find a breakfast somewhere else. If I had known that I wouldn’t have stayed there

It depends

I guess there’s bound to be a problem when no formal reception exists. I stayed 2 nights and nothing was cleaned or replaced in my room for the second day/night. No one at the bar could help. The room was ok but just over the patio and people were loud until 1 AM. Bed fair. Sheets clean. Shower good.

Expensive for what it was

Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Room and bathroom was very spacious and clean. Shower had a good water pressure. The property and room were dated and worn in areas. The out of hours entrance was not lit and visibility was very poor. Check in closed at 10pm and there was no one around in the morning to check out, breakfast was not served until 9am. I thought the hotel/inn was expensive (>£100) for what it was, I would have been satisfied with my stay had it been lower price.

Had a good welcome, friendly and helpful. Only a quick stop on journey so fine for what needed. Clean and tidy room with all the basics. Looked a good bar area although had stopped serving food so didnt use as we were fairly late. Would use again though.

Friendly welcome, lovely spacious room with plenty of well placed plug points. Good size bathroom with toiletries. Room was serviced every day and small bottles of water replaced. Walkable in to town centre albeit uphill on the way back. Would stay here again and would recommend.
