Adorable, cute as a button Keuka Lake view cottage, Close to everything!

We are transitioning back from 10 years of successful seasonal rentals to short term renting again (We were an all five star review property on the old HomeAway sister site of VRBO),

Wow what a great place! First, absolutely cute as a button cottage with views of Keuka Lake from every room in the front of the house. Eat breakfast with views of the sunrise over Keuka from the picture window in the dining room or enjoy a glass of local wine and watch the boats on the lake in the evening from the front porch. Or get your BBQ on with the included Stainless Steel propane grill. Open floor plan. Fully updated with modern kitchen, new appliances, and granite counter tops. Fully updated bathroom with new fixtures, subway and glass tiles. Bedroom #1 has a full Bed, and bedroom #2 has a bunk bed with a twin over full Bed. The home is decorated thru out with Local Steuben glass pieces, handmade window treatments and custom handmade furniture, made by the owner (a third-generation furniture maker). Hepa filter air purifier. Full finished basement with additional day bed for additional sleeping. Upstairs the living room has plenty of seating, a twin sleeper couch and art photography taken by the owner locally.

Note to guests staying later in the fall: Towards the end of Oct. the furniture on the back deck goes into storage to protect it from the harsh weather. The grill however, will still be left in place for your usage.

Let's talk about the location. Centrally located to everything Keuka has to offer. First, Keuka Lake is the center of the wine world in the Finger lakes, with award winning Wineries all over its shores. Heron Hill, Keuka Springs, Dr. Franks, Rooster Hill, Yate Cellars, Barrington Cellars, Domaine Leseurre, Hunt Country, Mcgregor Vineyards, and more all grace the shores of Keuka Lake. Stop in for a tasting. If craft beer is your thing there are five Breweries on the shores of Keuka. Lyon smith Brewing, Abandon Hill Brewing, Keuka Brewing, and Finger Lakes Brewing, are available for tastings, or take home a crowler of your favorite. If nothing makes you happier than being on the lake, you're in luck. Indian Pines Park, with its well-maintained beaches is just short stroll from the house. Keuka lake park with its excellent playgrounds picnic facilities, and beaches is just a 5-minute drive away. Or rent a pontoon boat, ski boat, or Kayak from one of the lakes many marinas. Fishing on Keuka is great too with huge lake trout, Land locked salmon, and small mouth bass. Fishing can be done from land on numerous places on the lake or by boat. There are also lots of options for Dining from great restaurants overlooking the lake to takeout, to the best ice cream place in the entire finger lakes region, Seneca farms, located only a short stroll from the house. We had a wonderful stay for 5 days. The just was super when communicating and timely. We were the first of the season staying… the cottage was very clean and tidy! Great new kitchen… Weather was variable ( Rain, sun AND SNOW) but not the hosts control… haha. But would be great to enjoy the view and porches. Simple cottage and just what we were looking for! Thank you and hope to be back for future visits!

Cottage was clean and well appointed. Kitchen was very nice! Lake was 'viewable' but not really accessible. No direct lake access, however Indian Point Park just a couple blocks away offered unfettered access to the lake. Otherwise great location for biking, and access to Penn Yan village, farm stands, restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. My only wish is that there were some kind of 'fire' feature available like a chiminea on the porch or lawn, or even an indoor electric fire place that would have made the fall weekend a little more special. An updated Smart TV that allows direct streaming from a phone would also be preferred to an HDMI cable. Most people these days do not drag their laptop, or a bag of DVDS (ha!) for a quick 3 day trip. However, I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage for those who are looking for a quick getaway on the loveliest Keuka Lake.

Pat is a great host and easy to work with during our stay. The biggest disappointment were the metal bunkers. They are unbelievably noisy, so much so that only one person could sleep in that room. That room is also close to a busy road to quite noisy. It’s also worth mentioning that to use the basement the stairs can be a bit tricky. Otherwise, it’s what we expected. Kids loved the air hockey table, place was clean and well equipped, and Pat was a nice host.
