Superb Food in a Setting of Outstanding Beauty

The hotel is situated in a peaceful area of outstanding beauty. We were greeted by welcoming staff with a drink and shown to our room which was furnished very tastefully. What really stood out though was the quality of the food and wine. Everything was extremely tasty and superbly cooked.We would have welcomed tea and coffee in the room however.

Gorgeous scenery in the valley

The view from La Escondida over the mountains was absolutely stunning. It was peaceful, with breath-taking scenery and we’d just enjoyed our welcome drinks on the terrace when we decided to extend our stay, as it was so lovely. The food was lovely, and the hotel staff very helpful. We asked for some walking routes and really enjoyed one of the routes on the hotel grounds, then extended it to a mountain walk, which was gorgeous (but very very steep!). We will absolutely go back! Perfect for a quiet family retreat or romantic couple break.

el hotel llevaba cerrado un par de meses, y es increïble que pudiera hacer la reserva el día 19 de Junio, cuando el hotel ya no funcionaba. Voy a poner reclamación y denuncia, puesto que a día de hoy, SE SIGUE PUDIENDO RESERVAR EL HOTEL EN VUESTRA PAGINA Y EN BOOKING, TAMBIEN. Ruego canceléis esa locura para que no le pase a nadie más, que el viaje de aniversario de una pareja, se vaya a la porra, por mala gestión.

Stunning location. Grounds are very well kept. Staff very helpful and attentive. Unfortunately the menus, standards of amenities such as quality of towels, no water in rooms and some decor have deteriorated mainly due to COVID restrictions and a take-over by a corporate hotel chain. The special touches and ambiance of old have gone and the new staff are doing their best in difficult circumstances. Still a wonderful hotel but less special than before.

Excellent, relaxing hotel

Beautiful, quiet location. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and beautifully presented, with all we needed. As our bathroom was so big it was a shame there wasn't a bath, which would have made it perfect. Breakfast items were pre-ordered on arrival from a limited continental list, plus eggs selection, which some people may find restrictive but provided everything we wanted and plenty of it. Overall we had a lovely stay and will return.

Great getaway hotel

A beautiful hotel to stay for a relaxing getaway. The rooms are furnished beautifully the beds are very comfortable. This is the fourth time we have stayed at this hotel as well as visiting for lunch on numerous occasions. The food is top class as is the service in the restaurant and bar.

Que al plantear las dificultades para poder llegar al establecimiento, por las confusiones a las que induce google maps la recepcionista nos dijo que nadie se había quejado (aunque luego admitió que algunas) y que decíamos "medio verdades". En definitiva, todo lo que nadie se puede esperar cuando llega a hotel de esta categoría. Lamentable.

What a fantastic hidden gem!

So impressed with this property! Thank goodness for GPS which made finding this hidden gem a treat. From the moment we arrived we were wishing we had more time to spend in the area; but made the most of the 2 nights and 1 full day that we had. Every thing was beyond our expectations and would go out of our way to stay here again. Thanks to all the staff for their friendliness and great service.

The peaceful surroundings and all staff were very accommodating to my dietary needs. The chef made sure we were happy with our meals and would often change the meals for vegetarian options for example. Been here twice now and couldn’t fault the whole experience. Definitely value for money for what you get. Would return again.
