Firstly I would stay here again if I am in need of an accommodation in this area. It was a clean an cozy place to stay and the hosts were very nice and responsive. As many as I have to stay in, I still despise a hotel. I am getting plans together to offer people short term stays such as this and I travel extensively and have stayed at many of these properties. With my background in building and home design I do have some suggestions for this property. 1. Work on the driveway. Its steep, but it just needs to be maintained if folks are going to be coming and going. 2. A walkway and pad at the bottom of the steps to get around and up to the loft. It rained the first two days of the stay and the route to get to the steps was through the yard and my new business shoes had to be cleaned when I got to the show in Corbin that was working. 3. The steps aren't terrible going up, but it's a little tricky coming down. 4. The steps were icy and slick this morning, maybe add some grip tape or grip paint. 5.The loft was cozy, but with the bathroom not having a sink, and having it where it is, its not a great flow in the layout. I definitely see what they are trying to accomplish, but it needs a redesign and layout. 6. Try to redo the electrical outlets so they don't risk a fire. The drop coords to the coffee pot, microwave, the toaster oven, and the island power strip is just a short waiting to happen. 7. Fie extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon minoxide detector need to be up there.
