Tiny Home Above the Clouds: Pacific Views

Escape to a modern-rustic sanctuary perched 3,600 feet above the world. Harrison Serenity Ranch offers a refined glamping experience that bridges California history with mindful, off-grid living.

Located on a private ridge surrounded by the Cleveland National Forest, our tiny home is an invitation to slow down. Whether you are watching the sunset hit the Pacific Ocean from your private deck or exploring ancient trails, you’ll find a level of peace here that only Palomar Mountain can provide.

The Tiny Home
Designed with intentional minimalism and warmth, the space features:
- The Sleeping Quarters: Plush queen bed, outfitted with fresh linens and positioned to offer forest views the moment you wake up.
- Indoor-Outdoor Flow: Large glass-panelled double doors open wide to a private redwood deck, inviting the mountain breeze inside and offering front-row seats to the valley below.
- Off-Grid Power: Your unit is equipped with a dedicated solar-powered battery system. This provides reliable interior lighting and allows you to charge small electronics like phones and tablets.
- Artesian Water: Experience the purity of mountain life with water drawn from our own artesian well, a source first claimed on this land in 1892.

The Ranch Experience
As a guest, you have general access to our historic 67-acre sanctuary:
- The Yoga Deck: A short, scenic walk leads you to our valley-view deck—the ultimate spot for sunrise meditation or stargazing under Palomar’s famously clear skies.
- History at Your Doorstep: Discover the property’s deep roots, from the nearby historic mortar stones (Native American grinding rocks) to the remains of Nate Harrison’s original stone house.
- Nature Trails: Wander through oak groves and pine forests on our private trail system. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, including deer and red-tailed hawks.

Noise and Campfire Rules
Music: Please keep all music off after 7:00 PM so everyone can enjoy the orchestra of nature.
Quiet Hours: Begin at 9:00 PM. We ask all guests to keep noise to a minimum during this time.
Campfires: Begin dimming fires at 9:30 PM - Fires must be fully extinguished by 11:00 PM (A shovel is located near the fire pit for your convenience)

A perfect stay at Serenity Ranch

I arrived on Friday at Serenity Ranch and was met by Rich and Solo the amazing dog who got me all checked in with a great chat and warm welcome. The Tiny Home is a great addition to Serenity Ranch. I have tent camped here many times as well as rented the Glamp tents as well as the main house. I love this place. It's very special, quiet and private. No crowds here. I was very impressed by the Tiny Home with it's comfortable queen size bed, lighting and overhead fan, nice decorative and useful touches such as the shelves and luggage rack/shoe storage. The windows stayed open the whole time I was there and it gets such a great breeze flowing through the place, Very homey. The deck has chairs and a cool round table at which i ate my meals, read and listened to music and to absolute silence. I set my cooking table up on the deck and it fit easily with room to move around freely. There is a restroom/sink building 20 feet from the Tiny Home The Ranch has spring fed showers which I always appreciate having and using after a day hiking at Palomar State Park, 15 minutes further up the road and you are in. All the water taps on the Ranch are spring fed, purely delicious cold water BTW! The history of the Ranch is something very special and which I highly suggest coming up to experience. There are grinding holes here from Native Americans dating back centuries and longer. It is a very special place to come visit and I will keep coming back. While having coffee early Sunday morning I had a great experience with a beautiful Bobcat who was passing by my place. We acknowledged seeing each other, made eye contact and were both still for over a minute sharing the space. Got a nice pic too...thanks Bobcat!
