Step into Your Rural Getaway: Unwind in a cozy, private and well equipped country cabin. It's got all the creature comforts you could want: air-conditioning, a private ensuite, and a kitchenette with filtered water. This cabin is tucked away from the main house, creating the perfect spot for some relaxation. And if you're traveling with a little one, just let us know, and we'll set up a portable cot to ensure a comfy stay for your baby.
The property: When we took over this place, it came with over 150 mature fruit trees and a variety of herbs that can spice up your meals or soothe your senses. We've poured our heart into turning this land into a unique and sustainable edible paradise. We've planted over 400 fruit seeds, seedlings, and cuttings from all around the world. Our dream is to leave behind a bountiful legacy for future generations by expanding our diverse garden continuously.
Connectivity: While we encourage you to unplug and connect with nature, we get that staying connected is essential too. That's why our cabin is hooked up with StarLink satellite internet, so you can stay online when needed. On those days when you'd rather chill indoors, we've got a smart TV ready for your binge-watching pleasure.
Home office: If you're planning to stay a while and need a dedicated workspace, we've got that covered too. Our separate room offers stunning northern views, making your "Work From Home" routine a bit more inspiring. You'll find a roomy desk, a comfy chair, and an extra single bed, all included at no extra cost. This space is your versatile and functional haven where you can work, chill, and soak in the views.
Adventure Awaits: Just a short 10-minute drive away, you'll hit the nearest beach – your spot for soaking up the sun, taking a dip, or just strolling along the shore. Whether you're a hiking pro or a rookie, this area has some of the best trails around. Mount Manaia, Mount Aubrey, Peach Cove, Mount Lion, Te Whara Track – you've got a buffet of beautiful hikes within a 10-15-minute drive. Convenient Finds Nearby: Despite the cabin's peaceful setting, you're not far from the essentials. Just a short 5-kilometer drive takes you to a Four Square store where you can load up on supplies. And the neighborhood has some charming cafes and a popular tavern where you can dive into delicious eats. Quick tip: the local tavern, known as the "Pub," tends to get busy, so booking ahead is a smart move.
Cooking: The cabin's got you covered with a microwave, kettle, toaster, and a Nespresso coffee machine for whipping up easy meals and your morning brew. Plus, step outside to the deck where a spacious 3-burner barbecue with a side burner awaits. It's the perfect setup for some alfresco cooking fun.
