Minutes to Downtown + Deck | Paso Robles Wine Country | Paso on Oak

Paso on Oak is a cottage-style home a short drive from downtown Paso Robles, occupying one side of a duplex, fully furnished and set up so you can arrive with a suitcase and start living rather than settling in.

That makes it an easy fit for a long stay — a multi-week contract, a project that ran long, a month spent near family — and it works just as well for a weekend. The kitchen is equipped for actual cooking rather than reheating, which matters once you've tired of eating out. The living room takes over in the evening: a game on, a show, a couch that isn't a hotel chair. Out front, a small deck catches the afternoon sun and gives you somewhere to sit that isn't inside.

Downtown is where Paso Robles shows off. The city square anchors it, ringed by boutiques and restaurants, with a farmers market filling the park on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Paso Market Walk sits a few blocks north, good for coffee and something quick. Past town, the wine country roads make for easy afternoon drives, and the coast at Morro Bay and Cambria is under an hour west when you want the ocean.

However long you're staying, Paso on Oak is an uncomplicated place to land.

AvantStay provides an upscale experience with services that elevate your stay and save time so you can enjoy every moment. Guests have access to a 24/7 support team and a tech-enabled concierge to book services, such as fridge stocking, mid-stay cleanings, and private chefs. For anything you need (or never knew you needed), we’re at your service!

Wine down and relax in California's central coast town. Paso Robles invites you to drive through wine country's scenic backroads, stop at one of 300 award-winning tasting rooms, and stroll through charming downtown, where local artisan shops line the streets. A place to relax and unwind, Paso Robles also offers hot springs that overlook surrounding vineyards. Whether it's for a romantic weekend or group getaway, take the plunge and come for a visit!

Local Attractions: Firestone Walker Brewery & Taproom Restaurant, Sensorio: Field of Light, Hunter Ranch Golf Course, Tin City, Central Coast Trail Rides (horseback riding), Lake Nacimiento, Margarita Adventures Zip Lining and Escape Room, Avila Beach Paddle Sports, Hearst Castle, hiking and mountain bike trails, over 300 wineries, breweries and distilleries, and Downtown Paso Robles for shopping and dining.

Perfect little spot

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Traveling as a single person with a small dog, this rental is a little gem. Great location, nice neighbors and really great rental company. The rental is small but very functional. I really enjoyed the front deck. I would have appreciated more comfortable furniture but that is my only comment for improvement (the sofa sags). Would consider coming again!

Paso Retreat

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I rented this unit for while I was working a harvest in Paso Robles. It was absolutely perfect. The house was well maintained and was furnished with all the items I needed for cooking. The front porch was fabulous at night to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine after a long day at work. On the weekends, my husband would come up and bring our dogs and the backyard space allowed for them to run and enjoy some time outside. The location to downtown is perfect and several local eateries and shops are within just a few minutes walk.

Cute and quiet

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I loved Paso on Oak and would definitely return for another stay and recommend it to others. The home is very comfortable for 1 or 2 people, and the large shady backyard is very inviting. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals, but of course there are plenty of restaurants and take-out food options nearby. The downtown area is an easy walk, as is a full grocery store. My stay was in the heat of June, but the home stayed fairly cool. I felt perfectly comfortable and safe leaving the windows open at night. Oak Street is quiet with very little traffic, even with the early learning center located on the same block. I used the barbecue and the washer/dryer - both were handy to have for a month-long stay. Though I preferred the backyard seating area and picnic table, I enjoyed the front deck once the summer sun dipped behind the trees across the street. The off-street parking is a plus. The other half of the duplex tended to be used only on weekends during June; it was fun to greet and meet other vacationers as they came and went during the month. The service from the crew at Paso Stay was also excellent.
