Sadly, this stay was a disappointment for us. Shortly after arriving, the power went out in our unit. It made for a chilly night and lukewarm showers. There was also a bad smell coming from the drains in the bathroom that spread through the apartment. The host was contacted the evening of arrival day and we were told a technician would arrive in the am. Technician arrived, then left to get a part that was needed. The technician returned later that afternoon to finish fixing the problem. The power returned late afternoon but only stayed in for a short while. Our group needed some power to charge our cell phones so we went to a cafe. We left one member of our group (that had arrived that am) sleeping in the apt. During this time, the electrical switchboard located above our apartment entrance began to smoke. Thankfully another resident in the building called to report the smell of smoke. We learned later that there were no smoke detectors in our apartment. This was alarming to us as rules for VRBO properties in USA are extremely strict. My sister was the one sleeping in the apt and she awoke to a technician in the apt explaining what happened and that another electrician will need to come out. Eventually the power came back on and then went out again. The host came to the apt to check in on us and we explained that we were considering checking out to avoid spending another night w/o power. We had been inconvenienced enough at that night. No more space to continue review.
