Some aspects of this hotel are 5-star. Excellent location for visiting Versailles, yet enjoying the tranquility around the ponds, while the grounds of the hotel made for a relaxing stay. A perfect respite from the urban pace of Paris. Walk for hours in the beautiful woods surrounding the hotel; eat in the outstanding, Michelin-starred restaurant; look out over the ponds that Corot painted.

Very peaceful place! Nice walks around the ponds and in the woods behind the hotel. Close enough to Versailles to take advantage of the sights, if you wish. Far enough away to be very quiet. Our room was really beautiful and comfortable. The outdoor terrace is a great place for breakfast or a coffee. The bar was a nice spot for a glass of champagne. And we had a fabulous meal at Le Corot, the starred restaurant in the hotel. Go here if you want peace and quiet in a sophisticated environment. Don't go if you want the energy of Paris proper.

Delightful hotel

We stayed overnight with our son and daughter as our daughter had a flight booked from CDG the next day. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our rooms were large and clean and good value for money. We ate in the Café des Artistes and the food was excellent. The restaurant leads out to a pretty terrace with drinking area overlooking the lakes. There is underground parking but also a public car park across the road. This is a great hotel, close to Versailles and Paris, but without the hustle and bustle.

Superbe maison joliment rénovée près des étangs

En ce jour d’août caniculaire, les chambres très confortables à la literie impeccable étaient merveilleusement décorées et climatisées. Il manque dans les salles de bain, quelques éléments de sécurité pour les personnes âgées.(Barres et tapis anti glisse dans les baignoires assez hautes). Le bar des artistes sur la terrasse pour le déjeuner et le petit déjeuner est délicieux. Je regrette seulement qu’on ne puisse pas accéder librement à un bassin à remous, sans gros frais supplémentaires, et aussi qu’il n’y ait pas un accès direct au chemin des étangs depuis le magnifique salon terrasse qui le surplombe ou le Spa.
