Communication with the host was superb. The apartment is very comfortable. I just want to mention that there is a subway underneath and can be noisy at times. It’s in a great location close to restaurants, shops and points of interest. I will stay there again if I go back.

This is a clean and practical apartment with a floor plan that provided a lot of useful space, in a location that is absolutely fantastic, but there are some caveats. First, the building apparently sits on top of one or more Metro/subway lines, and even though the apartment is on the 3rd floor (in American lingo), you can definitely hear and feel the rumble when the trains come, which is every few minutes during the day. Some were loader than others. It was never loud enough to keep us from sleeping or interfere with conversation, and it stops late at night when the metro doesn’t run, but it’s definitely noticeable. Also, the guest services agency that administers the apartment wasn’t the best. No kitchen towels, half a roll of toilet paper, no welcome package like many VRBO properties provided, and the binder with info about the property was in a random drawer (that we only found at the end) instead of out in plain sight. Finally, the building landlord wanted to install an intercom in the apartment during our stay, and we were initially asked to wait around to let the service person in. In the end we reached a perfectly satisfactory solution that didn’t inconvenience us at all, and the negotiation about alternate solutions was very cordial, but the idea that we’d even be asked to spend part of our Paris vacation waiting around for a technician to arrive seemed crazy. We still enjoyed our stay and it’s a pretty good property, but with a no-frills approach to amenities.

Recommended! Spacious apartment is situated in an ideal location… just steps away from tourist destination Rue Montorguiel, but on a quiet side street. With two of us, wanting privacy, we used the fold-out sofa as a bedroom. The dining room was our spot for drinking wine and sharing stories at the end of each day. You can definitely hear metro trains rumbling beneath, but neither of us had any trouble sleeping. The fold-out sofabed is a little noisy when you climb in, but is quite comfortable. Typically European flat pillows are provided. Check in and out was pretty easy. I got instructions to go to a nearby laundromat for the key. My friend waited outside the apartment building while I walked the two blocks to the laundromat. Be sure to review the video on how to get the key BEFORE you get to the laundromat… you may not have internet access. (I had to ask a young woman to share her WiFi with me.) It’s an automated key box and very easy to use, if you’ve reviewed the host’s instructions in advance. The apartment is in Building B… so don’t take the first elevator you see. Go through the small courtyard to the back building and use that (tiny) elevator. It can fit just 2 people and 2 suitcases with no room to spare… but very convenient! The apartment is clean, with an adequately equipped kitchen. We had dish soap and a dish towel. There was toilet paper in the bathroom, but no soap. No soap dish either. Nice towels and a towel-warming rack were appreciated. Thanks!

A few problems with my stay.1. The building must be sitting exactly on top of a metro line because it actually sounds and feels like it's built right inside the subway. I had to take sleeping pills and use ear plugs to get to sleep.2. I mentioned when booking that I was going to be checking late and the property responded that it wouldn't be an issue. Here was their response:"Hello,Yes, we’re able to host you on the night of 10 October and your late arrival is no problem at all.• Keys are collected from our nearby key station (Lav&Go – 12 Rue Poissonnière), which is open 24/7, so you can pick them up whenever you reach the city with no extra fee.• If you’d prefer someone from our Welcoming Team to meet you in person after 22:00, that can be arranged subject to availability with a 90 cash fee.To move forward, simply confirm the booking through Vrbo. Once the reservation is set, we’ll ask for a quick copy of your ID and then send you the full check-in instructions."3. There were bugs in the bathroom. I wrote a message to their manager and sent them a video and they never ever replied to my message.Other than that, the location is amazing, the apartment is spacious and the bed is comfortable.

Perfect location, great apartment, a few parts could be updated, but everything worked well. Also, the requirement for a hefty security deposit, which was returned only 10 days later, is something that could be improved.

Location is Marvelous

This spacious apartment is just steps away from the delightful Rue Montorgeuil...and also easy access to metro and bus. Louvre, Orsay, Il de la Cité, Opéra, etc. are within walking distance on pleasant streets. The apartment provides basic kitchenware but we chose to eat out most of the time. During our 10 day stay, the space was quiet and comfortable.

Fun time

Nice clean place. Great location, near restaurants and stores. Had to pay to place house key at checkout location, which was not disclosed. Had issue with getting the heat on but that got worked out. Site needs updated instructions for heat and other amenities. Was able to get TV system working. Updated instructions needed. In all we enjoyed the place and Paris.

It’s clean, easy to get to, and in a cracking location.

I stayed in this apartment and it was top-notch. This place is perfect for groups because the living room sofa converts into a bed. Getting into the apartment was a doddle. We picked up the keys from a nearby cafe. The cafe was open late, which was ace since we arrived late. Le Marais is a brilliant area. It has a mix of old and new places to see, like shops, art galleries, and food joints. You can stroll to many famous spots in Paris from here. The apartment was spotless. There was nowt bad to say about it. The bathroom and kitchen were clean and had everything we needed. I reckon this apartment is a great shout if you’re visiting Paris, especially with mates or family.
