Wonderful, lively neighborhood walking distance from Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord, with great restaurants and bars nearby. Creatively decorated room with view onto the lock and swing bridge on the Canal Saint-Martin. Comfortable bed. Friendly, welcoming staff.

Excellent location right by the canal, extremely picturesque and romantic! Very very good food and drink options nearby - recommend cocktails at Bisou, Ten Belles for coffee and pastries, le Verre Vole for wine and food, Chez Prune for classic French cafe and bar/resto, crepes at Breizh Cafe…. Room was perfect for us, there was a problem with the key a few times but staff was helpful. Convenient to Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est, metro line 4 (great for tourist locations). Very much recommend if you want a feel for a bit more of a local Parisian vibe with pretty good access to city center, too.

One of the best Paris experience I ve had , Le citizen is more on boutique Hotel, I like the room, the view and the bed also very comfortable, the view is the best , where ypu can see the canal right away. Reception also 24hours and all of them are nice, especially Tristan, who are pretty helpfull and super nice during our stay. My only suggestion would be on the bathroom , where the floor level is not level well, so the water would always flow to toilet , make the toilet floor always wet. Other than that I would stay there again. Location I think also one of the best , where basically I could walk to many places in just 40-60minutes ….

Love this hotel and neighborhood

I love this little hotel in my favorite part of Paris! You can stroll along the hotel, go for ice cream across the street or pick from the many restaurants within a block or two.

Amazing place, need wine glasses!

Amazing stay as always. Outstanding rooms with a great view of the canals. Very comfortable beds and bathroom. Plenty of space in the rooms. The only thing they need are wine glasses, they don't have any in the hotel! That is a travesty for Paris!

I absolutely loved this hotel. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful. My room was cozy and comfortable, it is an eco friendly hotel. I love how they have a delicious breakfast setup in the morning. The pricing is excellent and I definitely want to come back.

Very happy with the hotel and the location. We had a great stay and all the staff are really friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend the hotel and would return again to explore the canal area further, as we tended to hit the main tourist sites. Thanks for a great stay. I loved the canal view, especially with the changing autumn leaves. There is a lock directly in front of the hotel and you can watch it operate when boats go through. Plus, if you like to people watch, this is the place. Loved all the amenities, comfy bed, nice shower and hot water pot for tea or coffee. Best part of the stay though was the friendly and helpful staff!

Compact hotel in a great location. A little noisy at night but that’s Paris and big cities in general so not a deal breaker. Fantastic food options all walkable from coffee to lunch to fancy dining. Will stay here again when I’m back again.
