Firstly, I would like to mention the attentive staff. The daytime desk attendant was nice enough to cancel our dinner reservation after our luggage was left in NY and we did not have on proper attire to attend the restaurant. The next day when we were able to obtain our luggage, we had to leave our room quickly for another reservation and the housekeeper on our floor cleaned our room and made our beds anyway. Then there was Allan! Allan helped us find clothes and toiletries and helped us with recommendations for restaurants and museums. The hotel is small but if you don’t plan to hang in your room as we didn’t, it is perfect for sleeping and showering. The location is perfect for restaurants and not far from quite a few attractions. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Staff - Amazing customer service LOCATION- 20 minutes walk to eiffel Tower. Hotel: pretty Average - one Elevator, small to hold only 2 persons. Heavy foot traffic can have you lining up to use elevator. Get a room on bottom floor. Breakfast for 17 euros NOT worth. All pastries are stale. No warm scrambled eggs or warm sysages all old stale variety! Go to supermarket few doors down. Cheap sandwiches

I hope that this would serve as a warning to non white folks and unable to speak French. I didn’t expect this kind of hospitality. I wasn’t asking for a royal type of treatment. I treat all people with respect and I was merely hoping to get it reciprocated. After a long flight and 24hr without sleep. We arrived at Hotel Floride Etoile around 9:30am. We were so tired. We were asked to come back since it’s still early, respecting their check in time even though we were tired we left and walked around the city. After about 4 hours we went back to the hotel and we were told that still NO room available. So we waited patiently. Then A group of white folks came in to check in, they handed their passports and they got a room and handed a key. I was a bit in shocked but remained patient. Then Second group of white folks checked in and they got a room. I was not believing it. Then Third party check in, French guy got a room. 3 groups checked in, they all got a room. But NO room for us. Sadder part, even though I couldn’t understand French, sometimes you know when people are talking about you. They were giggling and keep on looking at us like we were nothing. I was helpless, tired, angry, and couldn’t believe what’s happening. I remained patient. It really felt bad. I was with my daughter. So heartbreaking that she experienced it on our first time in Paris. We ended getting a beat up and older room. I do not wish anybody to be in the same situation. It’s a sad experience.
