Great stay at Hotel du Nord et de l"Est

Great value hotel in a convenient location in Paris. The service at checkin / check out was great and the room comfortable. A bit out dated, but that did not bother us.

The staff was really friendly and accommodated our early check-in. It is very noisy in as much as you can hear your neighbors as if they were in your room. We were on the second floor and even with turning off our heater in the room got uncomfortably hot so had to crack the window. Location is great!

Although we have visited Paris on several occasions and always in moderate hotels, this one gave us the largest room of our Paris experiences. The only fault was that the sound of heavy-footed guests could be heard as they travelled to the upper floors.

An OK choice for a few nights on business

An OK price to quality ratio, fine for a few nights on business. Great location, only a 30-minute walk away from the city centre. But maybe don't choose this hotel for a romantic getaway or a family holiday. In my room (36) the wall-to-wall carpeting seemed like it was decades old, full of huge stains of whatever liquids. Also, the smell of mold coming from the bathroom was so strong I kept waking up to it until I got the idea to keep the door shut during the night. There are no air vents in the bathroom, so the air will not move in there. Keeping the room's only window open during the day is a must to circulate the stench a bit.

1.We have not the same room displayed online, very small bed and shower and view to backyard, the heating was on days and nights with temperature 38 degrees Celsius outside, very canicular period. I asked for changing the room and heating off and the receptionist said is impossible. The receptionists rude, not happy to help, to do their duties and responsibilities. Hospitality- terrible. 2. And at checkout asked me another €11,50 for taxes bcz I was in Paris.(terrible) I showed the email of confirmation of my booking which says is everything paid for 3 nights (2 adults) and then a big surprise was asking money more??Why I didn’t have all my information before booking??? I will never recommend this hotel to anyone!! Actually I will warn the people to run away from it. Hospitality terrible, staff terrible and rude, not the same room displayed online, heating on days +nights in canicular period, very noise nights with drunk guesses talking and laughing whole night all! Not professionalism at all! If the receptionists are not happy to do their job follow the procedures and policies of the hotel and (to talk, to help, to give information for guests )why the are doing this job??? You must to consider all those complaints and find new people who love to be receptionists!

The location of this hotel is very good. There are close metro stops and for certain sites it is walkable. The rooms are very small but if you are not planning to be in your room for much more than sleep it's not bad. The people who work there are very nice and helpful too.

The air conditioning was nonexistent but that’s a common problem for older buildings. The room was clean and larger than some of the others we had. The bathroom was tiny but worked for our needs. The extra pillows were nice.

Good size rooms for the price in Paris. Friendly staff. Neighborhood not bad, but not very exciting either. Very metro accessible. Only real complaint is that I had to do some work and the WiFi / internet access was poor.

Hotel is an excellent location. Neighborhood seemed to be safe. Very close to a major metro station. The staff spoke English and are very helpful. The shower is small and that is my only complaint and that is a minor detail. Plenty of hot water and the mattress was firm and we slept very well each night.

Excellent service. The location was also excellent very close to Oberkamf station. Walking distance and close to the Republique station. If you are coming in train from the Airport Oberkamf is closer. Walking distance from the station two minutes). Again excellent location. Restaurants and bakeries all around.

You get what you pay for, only just. We had one of the more expensive rooms on offer €55/night. I dread to think what the cheapest was like. The entire hotel is in desperate need of modernisation. Reception staff are not rude, but not helpful either. Rooms are small. Walls are paper thin — you will get to know your neighbours whether you like it or not. Shower was clean but showed its age with stains and an odd smell, possibly from the drain. Location was reasonably close to Oberkampf and Republique stations, but with Paris' metro that's the case for most centrally located hotels.
