Room was adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the hotel is close to transport. For a couple of nights this was adequate. negative was the lifts only going to the half floor meaning you still had to drag luggage up some stairs.

All good but some areas smell weird .. The cleaning must be much better
The room itself was extremely basic. While I don't need excessive luxury, the accommodations felt spartan and lacked any real amenities or character.
More concerning were the maintenance issues. The shower was broken during my stay, which significantly impacted the functionality and comfort of the room. Additionally, the bed was small and quite uncomfortable, leading to poor sleep quality throughout my visit.
For the price point, I would expect better upkeep and a more comfortable sleeping arrangement.
After seeing the first room I was prepared to write that staying here is a half step up from sleeping in the park but after seeing the second room I realized that there was really no reason to be so charitable. Also, whoever decided that second room was worth 150 Euro a night clearly has no soul. I may sound funny, but seriously, if I could write a review that would get this place shut down I absolutely would.
I found Hôtel du Brabant a convenient location, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. The staff felt rather unfriendly and unwelcoming, which set the tone for my stay. My room was very narrow, leaving little comfort or space to move around. While the basics were covered, I believe the hotel could greatly improve with warmer service and more attention to guest comfort.

There are things I find suspect about this hotel.
1. In the room there is a very strange card which asks guests "Please make up your room when you leave".
The room only has beds so what can it mean unless it means make the bed? Why would that be useful if the bedsheets will all be removed and cleaned properly? I have never seen anything like this at anywhere I have stayed at any time.
2. After I stayed I found 3 red bumps in a row on my arm. Now I cannot be sure that this is due to this night, I only know that I did not find them before. The 3 in a row is classic of bedbugs, which once they are present are very hard to eradicate. I did not see a bug in the hotel room, all I can say is that I did not see any bites on me before this. This does not prove that this hotel had bugs. But if they do not wash the bed sheets properly then it could not be surprising.
Other than that, there is nothing exceptional. The concierge was fine. It seems a bit mean to give a 1-star review but I felt there is something very strange when I saw that notice and that it is best to warn people.

The location was perfect! Everything was just a short walk or bike away. There’s even a bike shop a few doors down! Be prepared to hike up the steepest stairs I’ve ever seen in my life!
Beautiful entrance, friendly and helpful staff, good location, reasonable rates for unique hotel.

from the outside the hotel looks decent. but def need to realize it has 2 stars listed at the Hotel window. there was a lift but looked very uninviting. our room was ok all electrical worked but the shower was quiet treacherous. About a foot off the ground a bit slippery, held onto the sink to get out but worried the sink would rip right out of the wall. luckily no falls. there was an issue with another guest one night but it ended quickly, but allowed for a very unsecure feeling. 1 of my biggest complaints was the cooperation with the staff. most did not speak English and few made the effort to communicate. I would think a hotel would at least know the English word for a Towel. but i guess the biggest issue was the location. luckily, one end of the street felt nice and safe, but if you ended up on the other...we felt very much the opposite.

The evening clerk (the bald guy) was a character, and extremely helpful.
The hotel is pretty quirky- elevator goes to floors 1/2, 1 1/2 and 2 1/2. In other words, you have to use the stairs to get to and from the elevator.
Breakfast was not good.

Definitely a budget hotel! My issue was that the bathroom remakes of sewage! I’m not one to complain but it was bad.
Access to 1st floor & no doubt higher levels was poor. We had to cart bags up 1 flight of stairs to get to lift which was tiny, so we continued up 2nd set of stairs. No refrigerator, no tea/coffee facilities, and those provided on ground floor area, you has to pay for, so no customer consideration.Bathroom extremely small. Hand basin could be used from sitting on toilet. Overall extremely disappointing.
It’s a simple paris hotel. More than clean enough. The usual small room. Although not as small as some other Paris hotels I stayed in. I would recommend this place to anybody who needs a stop over on their way to or from the local train station.
Old and minimally maintained. Sink was barely emptying, heating was going off randomly
