Unfortunately, this was one of the worst accommodation experiences my family and I have had. We booked this property through VRBO for a 3-night stay in Paris. Upon arrival, it was immediately clear that the property did not match the description or photos in the listing.The accommodation had a strong unpleasant odour, visible mould and damp issues, poor cleanliness, and signs of neglect throughout. The sofa was not simply worn but physically broken in the middle, making it unusable. There were also insects and spiders inside the property, and the overall condition was not suitable for a family with young children.The listing advertised parking, but shortly before arrival we were informed that no private parking was actually available. Several photos also appeared misleading and did not accurately represent the property’s surroundings or actual condition.I contacted VRBO immediately and spent nearly two hours on calls and emails providing photographs and evidence. Despite this, no practical solution was offered. The host proposed cleaning the following day, but the issues went far beyond cleanliness and included mould, damage, odours, and misleading advertising.As a result, my wife, children and I felt unable to stay in the property and had to find alternative accommodation late that evening at additional cost. Based on our experience, the property was materially different from what was advertised, and I cannot recommend it to other travellers.
