VRBO non-responsive about concerns I had with the property. Tried to make it sound like they weren’t responsible for anything the listing company did. Very irresponsible on VRBO’s part

I booked via VRBO and somehow got moved on to HATCH. The apartment is an illegal rental. It does not meet the bylaws of the building. The City of Paris does not have the apartment registered as a legal rental. One of the resident owners confronted me and told me I had to leave because short term rentals are illegal. The person followed me and would not leave me alone. The photos on VRBO in no way resemble the true condition. It is in terrible shape. The carpets are disgusting and need to be replaced. Stains and odors throughout. The lock box key is hidden in a bicycle lock a half block away from the apartment. Completely shady. There are several additional complaints to be made. I took several pictures. I contacted VRBO about concerns at the start of the stay and never received a response. I contacted the guest rep at HATCH who told me to send pics. No solution was provided and never heard back despite me reaching out. Several advertised amenities do not exist (no microwave). Bedroom window is broken and doesn’t lock shut. Excessive street noise. Do not rent. Did I mention it is not legal?! I don’t understand how VRBO is permitted to advertise this.

Listing is very misleading. It is much more run down than it shows. I contacted property manager several days before to confirm coffee pods would be provided.... there was one. No hand soaps or shampoo etc provided. Not enough toilet paper. I called and texted the manager and never was provided wifi information. So many times. I am contemplating disputing some of charges.
