The beach was almost non existent. There is a very small section behind the hotel that they call a beach. It is almost entirely made up of rocks with little or no sand, which is typical of that part of the coast. We specifically booked this hotel as we wanted somewhere with a decent beach, so we chose this place because of its name, unfortunately we were duped. But that wasn't all that disappointed. The quality of the breakfast foods was woeful and we were unable to have a typical Cypriot coffee each morning as there was no facility to make them let alone find anyone that knew how to make them. We felt our stay here was not just a waste of money but a waste of 3 days of our holiday.

Shhhh. Best Kept Secret

2nd visit to Aquamare. Overall stay excellent. Staff are hardworking and friendly. Food choice and availability superb. Local transport links fab and bus stop just outside. External recycling facilities visible, but not present in the room. Entertainment not great, but plenty of variety from the neighbouring hotels and Pafos town centre within walking distance if you are moderately active. We ate dinner, took bus to Pafos and walked along the seafront back to hotel most nights.

Staff are friendly, food is good ample selection. Room was dated, bedding did not smell clean, bins emptied daily but bathroom was not cleaned as dirty marks on mirror. Floor was not cleaned in the room. The hotel is more like a 3 star and not 4 star. Stayed in 4 star hotels all over Greece which are far superior to Aquamare Hotel.

Great short break hotel

This was a two night stay to attend a wedding at a nearby, more expensive all inclusive hotel, but we did not require all the food/drink facilities. The Aqua Mare provided us with a clean, comfortable room with good wi-fi, & shower, a good breakfast & free parking. Had we had the time we could have used the pool & other amenities, so unable to comment about these. Reception staff & most waiting staff very friendly. Beach possibly a bit rocky for our liking.

Overpriced and not 4 star.

VIP benefits form onekey not honoured, had to escalate 3 times and didn’t until second day. 1 small bottle of water for the entire stay. Rooms shabby and in poor condition. Signs prevent you from bringing in food/drink from supermarket. Significant number of facilities not working and hadn’t been for some time including sauna, steam room and jacquizi. Indoor pool was in poor unhygienic condition with parts of the ceiling falling off into the water, and calcium build up on side, both pool and hot tub also had a layer of grime - don’t get cleaned. The outdoor pool says no lifeguard on duty on sign but a very rude member of staff comes around shouting at people for being in the pool with no lifeguard. The outdoor area of the hotel in poor condition and hasn’t been cared for, for some time, with dead grass, broken furniture & mouldy umbrellas. Priority given to functions with areas of cordoned off and improved for those guests. Food& drink poor quality, very complicated process around singing out beach towels involving a fine if you lose paper. Local entertainment was worse than karaoke, and staff seemed more interested in conversations with each other. Whole place gave off cheap Benidorm vibes for double the price! We raised concerns and fobbed off with offer to for all inclusive rather than fixing issues, we wouldn’t have benefited as out during the day, both hotel and hotels.com refused to give refund due to “hotels no refund policy” and only replied after multiple chasers.

Cyprus Beach Stay

Ran into some problems when the fridge didn't work. Took several tries to get them to replace it. In addition, the TV showed a picture that explained that you could connect to it with a HDMI, which I had. It didn't work and the front desk wasn't able to help. Didn't understand what I was talking about.
