The staff at the Mai Tai Express Hotel were very friendly and accommodating. They quickly called taxis for us when needed, and had a luggage storage room. The room is not large, but is adequate in size with a generous bathroom and nice shower. There was a room safe, electric teapot and refrigerator. The breakfast was expensive for what it is, and there are many close by options for less than the $32 a person. The bed was VERY comfortable and the room was very quiet. The location was excellent being in walking distance of the cruise terminal, shopping mall, and good restaurants and coffee shops. We stayed there before and after our cruise, and would stay there again.

GREAT hotel for a pre/post-cruise stay. Location is walking distance from cruise/ferry terminal. Rooms are very clean and modern. Front desk staff is outstanding.

Room was very clean. We stayed in 412 , it was quiet. Enjoyed the nice shower. Its a 5 minute walk to Ocean cruise terminal. Good mini fridge and easy to operate safe. Several restaurants very close, however, better and somewhat more relaxing selection near Burger King & McDonald's.

Absolutely amazing hotel. I paid three times this for my resort on Moorea and I should have stayed at this hotel. This was a last minute decision to stay in Tahiti due to plane schedule. I just couldn't have been happier. I wasn't expecting breakfast, but it was free with this room The bar/restaurant was next door and they had live music Wich was fun. Everything at this hotel was absolutely perfect.

Positives are: Excellent location, right in the centre of Papeete. Great bed, Friendly staff. Negatives are: Far too expensive, especially the Hotel continental breakfast at a ridiculous price of the equivalent of $30 US per person. It would be worth $10 US. The hot water pressure is very weak and there’s hardly any power sockets. We were told some story about them not wanting to make holes in the old building. Um it’s a hotel in 2025 and guests expect power sockets especially if they have medical equipment. Having said that it’s a clean and pleasant hotel,

Lovely hotel. Rooms are cozy, but clearly recently remodeled. AC works great. Walking distance to cruise port terminal. Literally two blocks door-to-door! Note: If you have a CPAP bring an extension cord. Outlets are few and far between!
