About this property
The Farm: Explore 13 acres, 3 bedroom farmhouse w/AC and mountain views.
Grandpa Joe's Farm is happily situated at the foot of Mount Lamborn. The farmhouse sits at the top of the hill over looking the barnyard. In the barnyard there's an old grainery, hay barn, and sheep shed. Back of the barn is a creek that runs through an area full of trees. There's a picnic table in the shade of the tall trees where you can read, work, enjoy a picnic or reflect and journal. It's the perfect place for creative souls to work and retreat from the world and rekindle/ inspire your creative side.
.
On the farm you'll see chickens (and hopefully chics in the spring) and
our pet goats: Zelda, Harley and CC.
We also pasture the young steers we're fattening to butcher and some horses that we've retired.
We raise grass/alfalfa mix to bale for hay to feed the animals in the winter and we rotational graze our livestock through the pastures during spring, summer and fall. We also have a blackberry patch that you’re welcome to pick from when they’re in season and ripe.
We're putting together educational information on rotational grazing and it’s benefits, fun facts about our animals on the farm, and where your food comes from. If you have a family you can use your stay as a teaching experience for your kids.
A spacious yard surrounds the farmhouse. There’s plenty of room to enjoy the yard games we’ve provided for you such as corn hole and ring toss. You can eat outside at the picnic table and enjoy the incredible mountain views! Take time to smell the roses in the rose garden while the
kids play on the playground set which includes swings, seesaw, slide and climbing wall.
At night spread out a blanket on the grass and do some star gazing, then gather around the firepit afterwards for making smores!
The striking Victorian farmhouse features a king bed and two queen beds, perfect for families, couples or singles. Guests enjoy a bright, comfortable space with heating and air conditioning to keep things just right. The bathroom includes a refreshing shower, a handy hair dryer and a built in stool for youngin's to reach the sink. Grandma's Kitchen if fully stocked with dishes, cookware, oil and basic seasonings. A breakfast nook in the kitchen is really perfect for any time of day. There's a coffee/tea station so you can make your favorite hot drink to take out on the covered porch and relax in the swing. In the dining room in the wall is a built in hutch and it's full of colorful fine china. Please use the china and enjoy it for afternoon tea, dinner or dessert.
We’re also growing our curated library for you to borrow and enjoy reading during your stay.
For fun there’s also a bookshelf designated specifically for take a book, leave a book.
Board games and puzzles are located in the dresser below the stairs.
Included in the dining room décor is family history of Grandpa Joe’s Farm.
My grandparents bought the farm in 1953. They lived there until 1997 and my Uncle
bought it in 1998. My husband James and I bought the farm from him in June 2026
and we’re excited to share this special and unique farm with you and your family.
In addition to family history we’ll also have books on local history in the North Fork Area.
