Disappointed
The unit was clean (minus a smell when you open the cabinet under the sink) and while when you step outside it is not all that appealing but there are amazing restaurants within walking distance as well as a grocery store. 24/7 security as well… But now for the reality of our stay. A week prior to our arrival we were told we would be staying in a different unit. Albeit it was the same floor plan, but odd scenario. If you are hoping to get a good nights sleep, this is not for you. Directly down from the balcony heavy construction begins every morning at about 6:30 AM. It is impossible to sleep through even for the heaviest of sleepers. The construction continues all day so it’s not worth sitting on the balcony during the day. Spending any time in the unit during that time is unbearably loud. There was no mention in the listing about noise or construction going on. We reported our displeasure with the situation and were essentially told since it is the neighboring property it’s not their fault. Thankfully we had already planned to switch to a place in casco viejo for the second half of our visit. We will not be considering a stay here again even though it is in close proximity to some of our favorite places to eat in San Francisco.
