1 Star — Safety and Maintenance Concerns Room 406 had several maintenance issues, including broken window blinds (allowing full daylight around 5 a.m.), a cracked peephole, a patio door that did not close properly without applying force, and the presence of cockroaches. The shower had reliable hot water and good water pressure. The primary concern involved a late-night security interaction. At approximately 10:45 p.m., a man wearing a hoodie knocked on our door and asked if we were okay. He stated that he was security but was not clearly identifiable as staff. Due to the time and circumstances, I went to the front desk to ask why security had been sent to our room. Two individuals identifying themselves as security were present near the office. The front desk staff stated they were unaware of any security call or dispatch related to our room. After further discussion, one of the security staff members confirmed that he knocked on our door because “someone called.” A second security staff member later stated that Room 410 had reported a dehumidifier issue. The explanations provided were inconsistent, and the situation highlighted a lack of clear communication between security and the front desk. Guests should not have unexplained security visits late at night without clear documentation or coordination. I also reported the presence of a cockroach to the front desk. The issue did not appear to receive further attention. Day 4: Room 410 appeared to be vacant. Overall, this stay

Casa Loma Hotel is THAT place. If you’re looking for flashy chaos, keep scrolling. If you want old-school beachfront charm, peace, and the kind of ocean views that reset your soul—this is it. Every room faces the Gulf. Read that again. EVERY. ROOM. Waking up to waves instead of parking lots is elite behavior. The vibe is calm, clean, and intentional—no overcrowded elevators, no party zoo energy, just beach therapy done right. The staff? Absolute gems. Friendly, helpful, and genuinely happy to see you—rare these days. The property is spotless, the pool is perfect, and stepping straight from the hotel onto the sand feels like a luxury most places charge triple for. Casa Loma proves you don’t need gimmicks when you do the basics exceptionally well. It’s classic PCB the way it used to be—in the best way possible. We’ll be back. No hesitation. No debate. 10/10 would gatekeep, but it’s too good not to share. 🌊✨

The view from our balcony was very scenic and really brought out the whole beach side vibes. The lady who helped us check in was very friendly as well, accommodating our requests and suggesting places and things to do in the city during our stay.

I would highly recommend this place. I wish the pool was about 10’warmer but it was very nice sized, clean and fantastic beach access. If you go. YOU HAVE TO GO FISHING WITH CAPTAIN JUSTIN REDMON. 850-630-2267. this guy is AWESOME and only 10 minutes from the hotel.
