Right on the beach with beach view. Rooms needed to be updated chairs fake leather was peeling and fridge was rusted. Had a musky smell when we first came in and floor felt damp like concrete was sweating. Staff encountered were fine. Location was away from the restaurants we want to go but drive was fine

This beachfront property is located on a beautiful shore of the Gulf. The view to the sourh is outstanding and has a great view of the sunset. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they do what they can. However, the property itself is tired and neglected. Painting and deep cleaning would go a long way toward brnging this hotel back up in true ratings. Right now, the Expedia high rating is just wrong. We had reservations for 2 nights, but we had to look at 4 rooms before deciding on 1 that felt clean enough to stay in as barely acceptable.

This property is really gross. The staff was very nice, but the cleaning lady woke me up and the maintenance man woke me up another time. When I put a do not disturb sign up, it was taken down. There was broken tile, the ac was disconnected on the outside. The carpet was dirty, I wore socks but they became black within minutes of walking around the room. The seats had rips in them and there was rust on the lamp. Expedia has rated Beachside an 8.4 but it should definitely be lower. The most positive thing was the ocean-view, it was beautiful.

You get what you pay for!

Rating: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) I recently stayed at the Beachside Resort in Panama City, Florida, and overall, I’d rate the experience a D- at best. The name includes the word *“resort,”* but it’s far from it. The only true amenities were a pool and direct beach access to Laguna Beach. There was no lifeguard on duty, no beach chairs provided (you can rent a set from an outside vendor for $40/day), and no beach towels available. **The bed was comfortable and the linen was clean**. The on-site restaurant had a very limited menu and stopped serving food by 7 PM daily, which was disappointing. As for the room, it was rundown and outdated. The carpet and walls were dirty, our patio light didn’t work (maintenance was unable to repair) and the appliances were rusted. I spoke with the front desk to request a different room, but was told they were sold out and only the 7th floor had been renovated. Also there was just 1 working elevator, which made things inconvenient. I booked this place knowing it was a two-star property, but I was swayed by the 8.4 customer rating on Hotels.com, unfortunately, it didn’t live up to that score. We stayed four nights for under $500, but it truly wasn’t worth it. I got get what I paid for. My recommendation would be to continue looking.

This place has really gone down hill the last few years. Bed was nice and clean but I dont want roaches crawling on the wall. One elevator was not working. Luggage carts are trashed! Some lights didnt work in the room. Ill be looking for a new location next time.
