We stayed four days in April 2026. The property is wonderful, with an extensive beach, great pool and wonderful staff. The restaurant is very good, lots of variety and lots of food. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruit and a good menu. Our room was clean and the Air Conditioning was good. The hounds are extensive, trees, shrubs and Howler monkey in the trees. Would stay there again.

The food was amazing and the staff was exceptional. We were there during the down season so the pool wasn’t really clean and the hot tub and pool bar were not functioning; however, the staff was so helpful and polite and treated us like royalty. Daniella set us up with every excursion and Jesus drove us to the nearby beaches. Other than the facilities needing a little updating, the place was amazing and we would definitely go back! Just keep in mind you are in a very quiet part of the coast, so if you want more action you might not want to be in this area. But it was perfect for us!

I wish I could give the staff 100 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️!! Professional, accommodating and super nice staff. Whatever we ask them, they did it with a smile. For example, we were going on a tour and they loaned us towels that we returned upon our return. Beautiful hidden gem of a hotel!

Resort is clean but is in real need of updates and some added amenities. Onsite restaurant was good but very expensive- a single serve bottle of water was more than beer (and I had asked for tap water but just accepted the bottle) The beach could use a clean up and taking too. Lush gardens and we got to see lots of monkey’s which was cool!

Rooms need a lot of upgrade for a 4 star hotel. There was water clogging in the bathrooms. Our room refrigerator was not working( that was an issue as we had a toddler with us ) Pools were dirty and over all property needs a lot of maintenance. Staff was really helpful and tried their best to help but there was so much they could do with the proper management.

This place was beautiful. The grounds are amazing and well kept. The service was great. Breakfast was delicious. Pool area was nice and not crowded with a great bartender. The beach directly out from hotel is a bit rocky but a short walk down the beach there are amazing areas to get in the water.

Very nice location. surrounded by nature and direct access to the beach. Area around is quiet, perfect for relaxing. A few minutes drive to Playa del Coco if you want more life or dining options. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Papagayo Golden Palms and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Rica. The property was extremely clean and very well maintained, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Everyone was fantastic — from housekeeping to the restaurant staff and chef — and you could truly feel how much they cared about the guests’ experience. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. The grounds are beautiful, lush, and tropical, creating such a peaceful atmosphere. The pool area is amazing, and the beach is just steps away and perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. One thing that really helped us was renting a car. It made exploring the surrounding areas, beaches, restaurants, and local attractions much easier and allowed us to see more of this beautiful part of Costa Rica. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you to everyone at Papagayo Golden Palms for such a memorable vacation!
