Chill, swim, and soak up dramatic mountain views in this private Palm Springs villa designed for total relaxation and retro-cool desert living. Villa Raqueta is a spa-style two-bedroom, two-bath retreat combining mid-century charm with modern comfort – featuring a private waterfall pool, sauna, and access to a larger community pool just steps away, all framed by dramatic mountain views.
Villa Raqueta sits on a corner lot in a community of just 19 private villas, each with its own private pool, surrounding a community area with a larger pool, tennis court and shaded poolside ramada.
Inside our villa you’ll find an open, light-filled living space with playful, decorative nods to the 60s, 70s and 80s throughout. A fully equipped kitchen awaits with everything for cooking and entertaining – a blender for margaritas, Instant Pot, K-Cup and Cuisinart coffee makers, cocktail shaker, a rice cooker, a four-burner gas cooktop, large side by side fridge with filtered ice and water in the door and generous counter space. The dining table comfortably seats six or enjoy snacks or drinks al fresco by the pool with views of the San Jacinto mountains and the Palm Springs Aerial Tram.
Speaking of our private pool, it’s a recently renovated, unique gem, exuding Tiki vibes, with a lava rock waterfall, effervescent bubbles and soothing jets. A carved antique Buddha stands by sending positive karma out to our honored guests. Enjoy an afternoon float under swaying palms or turn on the bubbles in the evening and marvel at the starry sky.
Set in the iconic Racquet Club West neighborhood, once the playground of Hollywood’s golden era, and said to be where Marilyn Monroe was discovered, Villa Raqueta sits a few minutes from downtown Palm Springs and the famous Aerial Tramway. Spend your days floating under blue skies, exploring historic Palm Springs, shopping boutiques and antique stores, playing tennis or golfing at one the many Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage or Palm Desert golf courses. Discover galleries and vintage shops that draw vintage lovers from around the world. Spend evenings dining al fresco beneath the stars at world class restaurants before exploring friendly local bars and clubs.

Our villa is a perfect set up for two couples, a couple with kids or small families traveling together. And a single well-managed dog is totally welcome. Each of the two bedrooms has its own private patio for morning coffee, evening wine or writing another chapter in your memoir. The primary suite features a king bed, ensuite bath with Roman shower, ensuite sauna and sliding glass doors to the pool area. The second bedroom, the Chris-tina suite (see photos) has a queen bed, private patio and private doorway into the hall bath.
Villa Raqueta features four private outdoor areas mixing Saltillo tile patios and walkways with planting beds. The back is where you’ll find the waterfall pool and lovely mountain view, with comfortable mesh lounge chairs, shade umbrellas and direct access out the back gate to the Sundance Villas common area featuring a larger pool, tennis court and poolside ramada. Inside our front gate, you’ll find a grassy courtyard with a prolific lemon tree, barbecue and direct access to the garage. Just off the kitchen through sliding glass doors, this inviting outdoor space is perfect for morning coffee, alfresco meals, or evening cocktails under the desert sky.
Adventures by car from Villa Raqueta are plentiful — take a short drive up to Joshua Tree National Park, explore the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum, or discover the many creative enclaves and galleries scattered throughout the high desert. Head into the charming mountain community of Idyllwild, or out to the Salton Sea to take in its haunting beauty and fascinating history. Closer to home, Palm Springs on bike offers an awesome way to discover some of the city’s iconic mid-century landmarks – The Movie Colony, Frank Sinatra’s Twin Palms Estate, Liberace’s House and The House of Tomorrow (Elvis’ honeymoon hideaway). Additional information:
Please ask about our pool heating options. We're able to heat the pool but we must know in advance of your arrival. Pool heating is upon request and is $75 per day up to 86 degrees (Oct to Mar) and $50 per day during the rest of the year. We have other pool heating arrangements for long term rentals (28 days or more)
The community pool is heated from the last two weeks in December through March.

Please note: Tennis court will be closed for renovation sometime in 2026.

We have a Pack n Play and a highchair available for your use at no extra charge, ask us in advance for these items as we want to make sure they're available for your upon arrival. We can also recommend a full-service baby furniture rental company that'll deliver to us. We can also recommend a great, reputable Nanny service.

Let us know in advance if you’ll need/want an additional cleaning service during your stay. That fee is $200

We accept on dog up to 50 lbs, which must be fully house trained and non aggressive, for an additional $75 fee. This extra fee covers the additional cleaning required between dog visits and our next guests and it's paid entirely to our cleaning crew.

We provide many items at the start of your rental; those are usually good for a 2 to 3 night stay. If you'll be staying longer with us, please note that we don't supply those items for the entirety of your trip.

Scheduled Maintenance
Please be aware pool and landscaping vendors may enter the backyard and courtyard during your stay without notice to maintain the property.

A few Dos:
Keep Noise Levels Low: Be mindful of your volume in especially in the courtyard and the pool area. No noise after 10pm. This includes conversations, music, and television sounds. We're good neighbors and Sundance Villas is a very friendly and respectful community.

Use Headphones: If you want to listen to music or watch movies, consider using headphones to keep the noise to a minimum.

Don’ts:
Avoid amplified Music outdoors and absolutely no parties allowed. Our max amount of daytime visitor guests is 4 and, they must be gone by sundown. High volume music, loud gatherings, or parties can disturb neighbors and lead to complaints. Complaints could lead to you being asked to vacate the property without any refunds. Please help us keep the peace.

Don’t Ignore Complaints: If a neighbor approaches you regarding noise, please address it immediately to maintain peace.

Don’t Move Furniture Around inside the unit without our permission: This could cause breakage and/or damage to the floors and walls. Outdoor furniture is lightweight aluminum, so you have the flexibility to move it around a bit, but please put it back in its original spot when you leave.

What the Zero Noise Ordinance Means:
The Zero Noise Ordinance is a Palm Springs city ordinance that prohibits excessive noise specifically from 10pm to 10am. Violating this ordinance can lead to fines or consequences that can affect our rental permit, meaning we wouldn’t be able to host future guests. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a quiet environment so everyone has a pleasant experience.

Smoking is not permitted inside the home.
