I do not recommend this place. Accommodations are well below average and not what was in the description on the booking site. We left soon after our arrival. The room smelled like smoke although they have a no smoking policy. A few things were broken such as the TV, the ceiling fan(lights), blinds(no privacy) and pool table was not useable. I booked three nights thru Expedia who dealt with The Float on the refund process since I used a third party booking service. I was initially informed I would be charged for one night which is understandable, but then received a follow up email stating I would not receive a partial refund at all. I don't know what changed, but very disappointing.

Float is one of my favorite places to stay in Palm Springs. they recently did a lot of work on their pool and hot tub and I am very happy with my experience.

I booked it then they wanted to do a no contact check in and all theses other things making the check in impossible from long distance i booked all the time for our employeesand never have a problem.they said they would do a cancellation waiver to get my refund and hotels.com said they couldn’t get ahold of them we lost $135.00

The area of Palm Springs was nice. It just seemed to have a lot of displaced people around constantly the front gate, which was supposed to have a code was never really closed. People would come and go pretty freely sketchy people.

Comfortable bed. Nice shower. Bathroom sink backed up and kitchen sink had no water pressure. So a mixed bag. But the neighborhood was quiet and convenient on foot.

From the entry gate which had a broken glass panel, to the unkept landscaping and non functioning ice maker, it was readily apparent that the owners of this property were not maintaining the property up to the level shown in website photos. My unit did not have a supply of pool towels or even plastic glassware as needed for use by the pool. All of these standard items required calls to the manager. When I was away on a 2 hour errand, my newly purchased sunscreen as well as pool towel was removed and even after a call to management, the sunscreen was not recovered. I often found the entry door to the property left ajar. Not a good secure feeling.
