Nice house to be quarantined in :-)
We rented the house for the months of Feb and March to get out of the Northeast for the winter. Palm Springs was great until the virus stay in place orders began. Upside, the house was a nice place to hunker down in. Downside, pretty boring stuck in a house in beautiful Palm Springs.
The house is in a quiet gated community on the edge of Palm Springs with great views of the mountains and the large wind turbine farm. My wife and I like to walk. The house is just a little too far to walk into downtown but it is a quiet development so was great for us to take a walk and maintain social distancing during the quarantine. When not locked down only a 10 minute drive to downtown.
The house itself was comfortable and nicely laid out. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure for the showers was good but took some time to warm up in the morning. Kitchen was good with only a slight problem with the dishwasher. It seems that the water in Palm Springs is much harder than we are used to. Glasses were going in clear but coming out white from what I believe is the high calcium level. A friend suggested that we put a bowl of white vinegar on the top shelf the next we ran the dishwasher. Problem solved. Did that every 2 weeks or so just so the problem did not return.
As the photos show, the backyard is not landscaped. That was not a problem for us since there is a small patio just off the living room that we used. It does get sunny there at certain times of the day (depends on time of year) so a couple of bamboo blinds might be helpful. There is some traffic noise in the back of the house from Highway 111 just on the other side of the wall. Not bad for us since we live on a fairly busy suburban street.
Our host Anna was wonderful. Great communications before we checked in and she was always available by phone during our stay. The house wifi went down during our stay and the router, which is in the garage that we did not have access to, needed to be reset. She came over quickly and was able to reset the router.
It was a great stay but would have been better if we had not run into the Coronavirus problems.

Space Galore
Beautiful house, but livingroom furniture needs updating. Ditto for back yard that is not landscaped. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home.

Be Forewarned
Be Forewarned that the house is located on the back perimeter of a development that sits right next to the wind farm with windmills in proximity and full view. As a result, high and often gusty winds prevail making it next to impossible to sit pool side or even go for a walk. We experienced many sleepless nights due to the gusting winds tearing up the roof and then taking several days to repair. These high winds blow a lot of trash into the yard and right up to the front entrance, a dirty and unwelcome sight every morning when we walked out the door. The furniture was uncomfortable and the appliances old resulting in the dishwasher breaking down three times during our two months stay last Spring leaving us without use for almost four weeks. The vacuum cleaner provided was so old the wheels fell off the first time we tried to use it. Crickets abound indoors - one even jumped out of the cookware the first time we used the kitchen. I recommend you ask the Owner for a picture of the back yard which is basically unusable.
