Good central location, comphy beds, quiet and staff (Ariful) were excellent, friendly and helpful. The air conditioning unit in the first room was not working properly and we had to move room. Also, shower drainage not built properly and whole bathroom gets completely soaked with water after the shower (and no additional drains to get rid of this water), which leaks into the bedroom.

Ballarò Hotel is a modest and budget hotel in a historical building. Nothing fancy but very very clean and extremely convenient. If you have organized excursions, the pick-up point is at Palermo Central Train Station. (4 minutes away) Install the app Spiaggia.it to reserve a beach bed and parasol online. TrenItalia ( train in Italie) can bring you at Capaci Station for Lido Serenity’s beach. Visit the all Palermo with the train or buses. I love the hotel for the convenience and tidiness. Mondello beach is the bus 101 and 806 from Central Palermo station ( 4 minutes from Ballarò Hotel) walk the all downtown for museums and Cathedrals. Faster than buses in traffic.

Very difficult to get into the hotel - staffing seemed non-existent; this property is less of a “hotel” and more of an air b and that offers “light” pastries, coffee and juice for the most minimal breakfast I had in several Italian hotels. Very unfriendly environment. The building itself is stunning, but calling this a hotel is overreach.

Interesting location in a crumbling old palazzo. The entrance is a bit intimidating but the hotel inside is basic but fine. Friendly and good location. Cooking smells were a bit strong, and breakfast was very basic, but overall a good experience.
