"A lot of maintenance going on. The inside door locks did not work, but after notifying staff, maintenance was seen making repairs. Overall it was a good stay. Hats off to the breakfast cook for providing fresh, hot foods!"

"Older, updated camp - this cozy cabin was so cute! Little decorations everywhere.We have never been anywhere with such a stockpile of supplies - they thought of everything! Bright and airy with a beautiful view of the bay. The rooms were large, beds were comfortable and huge walk-in shower was a plus! As a couple we were there for a week at the end of May, unfortunately the fish and crabs were not there - probably due to a large rainstorm our first day, Our favorite spot was the covered porch which always had a cool breeze blowing. If you plan on being outdoors a lot be mindful that the mosquitos can be horrible and prepare to bring bug spray. The neighborhood had a nice boat launch. We had dinner at PMR downtown and it was delicious. Good quality grocery store (Lowes) in town. Pretty park bayside in town by the Texas Baptist compound. Several public piers to fish off of."

"The rooms are absolutely clean all the time! We've been here on many occasions and what keeps bringing us back is that it is inexpensive. For the price you get an absolutely clean room, clean sheets, homemade breakfast and sometimes lunch and dinners! Depends how the manager/owner is feeling. He cooks scrumptious!!! The staff is so sweet and awesome and will always answer your questions no matter what. They always have fresh coffee, fruit (oranges and bananas) and a snack of some sort all day. There is free parking. Parking at your own risk but everyone watches each other's car and the staff is pretty handy in watching who comes and goes. It is a very comfortable establishment with a pool on-site for your children to play in or for you to take a dip in on a hot summer's day! All the rooms We've stayed in so far are hardwood floors, mini fridge and microwave, queen beds, large TV, tub and toilet in one room and sink on the outside in dressing room. We've been coming here everytime we come into Port Lavaca, TX."
