This hotel is in a quiet area, but the compressor in one of the external aircon units at the rear of the block was very noisy when one of the other rooms (not mine) ran their aircon unit. There was no serrated knife in the kitchen, which made cutting bread difficult - I'd have thought that was an essential in any kitchen. I would probably stay here again next time I am in Paihia.

The staff I meet (Robbie and Leo) were very kind and helpful. They went beyond their work duties in waiting for me and my wife and picking us when we arrived. They took us to the International Terminal. Overall it was a nice experience in visiting Auckland.
