This hotel has some of the worst management and customer service I’ve ever experienced. I called ahead during an overnight drive to confirm an early check-in and even offered to pay an extra fee. I was told it was fine. But when I arrived, the receptionist tried to charge $25 per hour, far beyond what I’d agreed to and far more than any reasonable early check-in fee. They were asking for over 50% more than the room rate for just a few extra hours. The employee was rude and insisted I’d have to pay even if I checked in a minute early. I’ve traveled extensively and have never seen such unfriendly, money-grabbing policies. I went to another hotel nearby, and every single one was willing to do a normal early check-in fee of $25 total. I ended up staying somewhere else for a few hours before returning at the regular check-in time to speak with management. Instead of addressing the issue, they handed me a number and told me to text the manager, who showed zero concern or accountability. This hotel does not honor its word, doesn’t care about guests, and operates with policies designed to squeeze money out of people rather than provide hospitality. It was never about the money—I paid the same next door willingly. It’s the principle. There are plenty of hotels in the area that treat guests with respect. Avoid this place unless you want to be overcharged, ignored, and disrespected.
