Whether you are relaxing on the chaise lounge in front of the log burner or sitting at the breakfast bar watching tv, there is ample space along with a double bed and wardrobe. The covered deck allows for a seating area for morning coffee or afternoon tea while you enjoy the south facing garden, soaking up some fresh cornish air, surrounded by pretty fruit trees and plenty of birds and wildlife.
Porthcothan beach or walking the coastpath are both just a few steps away. This is a unique location with private parking, its modern luxury adult glamping.
Porthcothan Retreats is located within the bay itself. A beach, shop/cafe, bar, tea rooms, places to eat and the South West Coast Path are all on the doorstep.
The grounds surrounding Porthcothan Retreats lead down into the valley taking you into nature with birds, wildflowers and all types of flora and fauna during spring & summer. Past the Vines a choice awaits left into the valley crossing pretty bridges / paddling in the stream, the footpath takes you all the way to Penrose a lovely walk or turn right at the gate which leads you to the beach through the enchanting footpath. We have a beautiful sandy beach popular to sunbathe, swim & surf. Lifeguards are on duty during the main season, its a perfect getaway.
For foodies there are some excellent restaurants close by from Rick Steins,Paul Ainsworth, Nathan Outlaw to smaller but equally delicious restaurants, cafes, pubs and personal recommendations (Which are listed in your welcome guide)
Along the cliffs to the left of the beach is one of the famous filming location of Poldark, Playing nice and onto stunning Bedruthan Steps where you must stop at the highly recommended national trust cafe. Along the cliff path to the right leads to Treyarnon beach & youth hostel another well worth visit especially for the view, sunsets & food. Padstow of course is located close by which has many excellent restaurants, boat trips, tours and lovely shops located all around the harbour. Trevose Golf club is also close and Newquay airport is only a short distance away.
