"No heating inside the room even after complaining at the reception, they gave me a little device to warm up the room but the noise was horrible. Couldn't sleep. No hot hoter when trying to shower - it happened on my last night. Also have some photos from lack of cleaning. Being a frequent user of Expedia, I expect a full return of money from this extremely bad experience."

We couldn’t say enough about this historical hotel and can’t wait to expect one day we return for the longer stay. The free breakfast was served on an ancient stone table, hotel also served a wonderful dinner, it was delicious! Entire place was like a giant storyteller, the ancients buildings and its exhibitions brought you back a thousand years. A beautiful garden and courtyard with partially existing cloister ….. the hotel location also very close to the Portuguese only national park, Peneda-Gerês National Park, not far from Braga. Ideal location between Portugal and Spain! "
