The dude at the front desk is just not friendly. Have stayed here 5+ times now and he’s always made me feel unwelcome. The structure itself feels like it is not level and is sloping.

Room was clean and fine. Staff was grumpy and acted like you were a bother. Not tracking rooms-gave a second customer a key to a room already occupied by a member of my family-very unsafe. Stay away from Cowlitz River Lodge.

Charming hotel with a pretty view. Elk were grazing during the day in front of the building. The rooms were cozy, the staff was welcoming, warm and helpful. The room was cozy , smallish and very comfortable. The lobby was appointed with popcorn, had tea and coffee.

Slow internet. Gentleman at front desk was short with answers. Location was not full the night before ( off season between summer and ski) but would not allow us to check in a little early. Wanted to get a hike in yet that afternoon but had food in car. Ended up going to a brewery.
