The Spruces: A Classic Oceanfront Family Home in Owls Head

For more than 50 years, The Spruces has been one family's summer home by the sea. Now it's your turn to gather here.
The porch is the heart of the house. Enjoy your morning coffee, a good book or evening conversation while you watch the water and the boats go by. At low tide, explore the island just offshore for shells and sea glass.

Inside, you'll find original wood floors, family antiques and the character of a classic Maine cottage. The updated kitchen opens to a large dining table that seats the whole crew, and the living room looks out over the ocean.

First floor: queen bedroom with a private balcony over the water, and a full bath with a walk-in shower
Second floor: queen with ocean views, queen with garden views, two twin rooms (each with two twins), a full bath with a clawfoot tub, and laundry
Outside, there's a big backyard for games, plus a fire pit for s'mores.

Location: Rockland and Camden are minutes away for dining and shops. Stop by the Owls Head General Store, a local favorite. Acadia National Park is about 2 hours north.
