Located in the very heart of the Baixo Alentejo, on a hillside overlooking the Mira River, this venue is a privileged spot thanks to its magnificent scenery and surrounding environment.
In this surprising oasis in the Alentejo countryside, we are invited
to listen to the birdsong, the flow of the stream, or simply to find peace in nature.
If you prefer more activity, you can explore the trails on foot, by bike, or even on horseback. We can also explore the Mira River by kayak or on a boat tour.
THE PROPERTY
Set within this landscape are four houses that preserve the original Alentejo architectural style, decorated in a minimalist fashion with a few designer pieces, creating a surprising yet welcoming contrast.
All houses have air conditioning in the living room and bedroom, as well as a kitchenette (equipped with an electric stovetop, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, and Delta capsule coffee machine), so you can prepare your own meals without having to go to a restaurant, if you prefer.
Outside, you’ll find various nooks to relax in and several tables for dining.
By the pool, you can let yourself be lulled by the scent of rockrose while lounging on a Balinese bed or a sun lounger.
In winter, the cozy fireplace nook soothes the spirit and invites you to savor a fine local wine while enjoying a long conversation in good company.
In the morning, a basket filled with delicious treats is delivered to each cottage so you can enjoy breakfast outdoors or in the comfort of “your” cottage. (for reservations with the breakfast option)

Archaeological Site
The houses at Castro da Cola are located next to the Castro da Cola archaeological site, an important archaeological site classified as a national monument. Discover the culture of other peoples who passed through here more than eight thousand years ago.
To learn more about this site, you can count on the assistance of the Visitor and Interpretation Center located on-site.
Next door is the Church of Nossa Senhora da Cola, a sanctuary that hosts one of the largest pilgrimages in the Baixo Alentejo region.
Visit to the town of Ourique:
The town of Ourique, located 15 km from Castro da Cola, was the site of the famous Battle of Ourique between Afonso Henriques and the Moors in 1139.
Visiting the lookout point, where the castle once stood, is another must-see to admire the beautiful fields and gardens of this town.
ALGARVE:
If you’re looking for a more active day, the beaches of the Algarve are just a 45-minute drive away.
