This was only an overnight as part of a longer roadtrip; however, as we will be traveling through the area a couple of times a year; this has become our go to mid-point stopping location. The staff and hotel were incredibly comfortable and the Ottawa area was quite lovely. It would have been great to have more time to visit the shops in the downtown area and take a little hike at the Starved Rock area.

The Fairfield Inn located in Ottawa, Illinois was VERY clean and bright inside. And the staff were amazing people ~ very informational, friendly, & helpful! There was an indoor pool, fitness room, & free breakfast every morning. The rooms were very clean & furnished w/ many extras, including iron & ironing board; hair dryer (in case anyone forgot theirs); & plenty of lighting. Nice downtown area w/ many excellent restaurants to chose from, Starved Rock State Park area is a great hike full of colors! Deb
