My booking got cancelled by Wonderful Italy following a confirmed booking and their local agent wasn’t able to relocate me in an adequate/similar Villetta. There appears to be a problem with the way some accommodation is posted on Hotels.com. Viletta in Italian means an individual Villa I never got to see the Viletta Costa Merlata as there are thousands of Villetta’s at the small village of Costa Merlata situated approx 10km from Ostuni. Make sure the accommodation you are booking with Hotels.com gives a local location - Eir Code or Zip Code and not just a Regional Location The taxi driver explained despite having a confirmed booking through Hotels.com with Wonderful Italy. The confirmed booking only had a Regional Location from which it was impossible to identify the actual Viletta - I was then offered unsuitable accommodation for my needs by Wonderful Italy’s local Agent.
