It was ok

Great location, but the building and rooms are quite old and rundown. Bathroom smelled terrible, smelled moldy but also sometimes like a long drop toilet, even when I hadn't been in the room for a while. No individual aircons, it was 35 degrees while I stayed and the central air was not nearly cool enough, even on highest flow. I had to keep the bathroom door open while I used it so I didn't feel like I was gonna suffocate. Cleaners supposedly start at 9:30 but they were outside my door making a ton of noise at 8:30 every day. Check out isn't until 11 but had no chance of a sleep in because of the noise.

Finding the reception was the hardest part because when you first walk in you have to figure out where it's at. (It was on the 5th floor or something, I don't remember) The area around is amazing, very close to Osaka Castle (About 15min walk/5min taxi) The view of the river is beautiful especially when the boats are going by. It's connected to a massive mall that has lots of food and shops. I spent a lot of money on the cheap and delicious sushi at the Moyori City shop!

above subway station

I stayed at the Osaka castle hotel for 2 nights the hotel is in an ideal location above a shopping mall and the subway station also close by to Osaka castle attraction. The hotel it self has a lot of potential and looks very appealing. However I must say, I was very disappointed the room was Very dated and is in need of a desperate face lift. Very old bathroom looking and needs modernising. The room appeared to be quite clean however there was an unpleasant smell. The staff I found was pleasant and helpful some difficulty with communicating in English but overall no issues. I did not have breakfast in this hotel so can't comment on the food. The price per night for the rooms was reasonable but I think the hotel needs to seriously Modernise their rooms big time. I would Consider staying here again in the future on the condition that the rooms were updated otherwise I would choose many other hotels in Osaka that are available.

Located near Osaka castle & metres from subway, friendly staff who spoke excellent English. 1000 yen just you a movie card for 24hrs. Reception is on the 7th/8th floor.

Extraordinary service

We arrived very late Sunday evening. My daughter had a problem that required her to go to an eye clinic immediately. Unfortunately, all of the major eye clinics in Osaka were closed until Monday morning. One of the people at the front desk called around and somehow found one that was open. He even came with us to interpret (the whole trip took nearly two hours and we got back to the hotel at 1 am!). If he had not found the clinic, we would have had a major problem. I have never seen that level of service before. My family and I are extremely grateful.
