HOTEL MYSTAYS Shin Osaka Conference Center (Formerly Chisan Hotel Shin Osaka) I stayed one night in October 2025 in a twin room for two guests. Location: Excellent The hotel's location is outstanding. It's less than 10 minutes from Shin-Osaka Station ticket gates if you don't get lost, with virtually no steps from the station's first floor. It's also under 5 minutes from Subway Shin-Osaka Station's south exit. Room Size: Be Prepared for Compact Spaces However, be prepared for very limited space. While the room itself is small, the bathroom is particularly cramped—even smaller than what you'd find at major Japanese business hotel chains known for their compact rooms. Travelers with large suitcases or guests of larger stature should take special note of this. Facilities & Comfort: Good Value Updates Though some areas show their age, the hotel appears to have undergone several renovations, with notably improved exterior and interior finishes. The in-room air conditioning is modern, and there are convenient power outlets at bedside along with perfect spots for placing smartphones and watches. The mattress felt fresh, and two different pillow types were provided for optimal comfort. I slept very well. Overall Assessment: For travelers who can tolerate compact accommodations, this hotel offers good value considering its competitive pricing and prime location. It's a solid choice for budget-conscious guests prioritizing convenience over space.

Pictures did not match the ones listed online. Dust all over parts of the room and there was excessive mold in the bathroom. The fridge was not emptied and had things from the previous guest. The only good thing was the convenience of it being near the station but cleanliness was one of the worst I have seen in a hotel.

Very good location just next to Shin-Osaka station, therefore giving us a convenient option to ease our planning for the trip. Breakfast buffet is optional, and good value for the money, tho a bit more variety of the dishes would improve this to Excellent scale. Rooms are tend to be the smaller side, even to Japanese hotel standard, so if you’re on slightly larger side of individual, you may want to consider bigger option than the standard room. Overall it was good experience

I found it annoying that there were no chopsticks or cuttlery available in the hotel and most of all that the shower head was not mounted properly so you have to shower with one arm holding the shower. Other than that the room was cozy and quite spacious for one person.

Great location and convenient if you want to explore other areas as the station is around the corner. Our room had mould and had a terrible smell but when we told the staff we were moved straight away which was good.
